The City of Rhodes

Rhodes is one of Greece’s most captivating cities, renowned for its rich blend of natural beauty, historical charm, vibrant culture, and diverse activities. Situated at the northern tip of the island, it serves as the capital of the Dodecanese Prefecture.

The medieval quarter, encircled by imposing fortified walls, retains its authentic character and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today, it remains an integral part of the modern city, bustling with commercial, tourist, and entertainment activities while also hosting residential areas.

The contemporary part of the city exudes a cosmopolitan ambiance, characterized by grand public buildings, wide tree-lined boulevards, lush parks, pristine beaches, and a thriving commercial center.

Covering an area of 1,398 square kilometers, Rhodes is the largest island in the Dodecanese, home to over 100,000 residents. Its mild climate, crystal-clear waters, stunning beaches, and modern amenities make it one of Greece’s most popular and cosmopolitan tourist destinations.
