What is the duration of the Master’s Program (MSc)?
The MSc program begins in the winter semester of each academic year. The duration is four (4) academic semesters, which include practical training and the completion of a Master’s Thesis.
The total required credits (ECTS) for obtaining the MSc amount to 120, which include participation and successful evaluation in all courses, practical training, and the Master’s Thesis distributed across the four semesters.
When does a new cycle of the Master’s Program begin? When are applications submitted?
Applications are submitted annually during March, April, and May, following an official call for expressions of interest published on the MSc program’s website, the Department’s website, and the Institution’s website.
Are there tuition fees for the MSc program?
Yes, the tuition fees for the entire program amount to €3,200. Payments can be made in four equal installments as follows:
- 1st installment (€800): Within 7 days after the announcement of successful candidates.
- 2nd installment (€800): Before the start of the 2nd semester.
- 3rd installment (€800): Before the start of the 3rd semester.
- 4th installment (€800): Before the start of the 4th semester.
Up to 30% of enrolled students may be exempt from tuition fees if they meet the conditions of Article 86 of Law 4957/2022.
If I withdraw from the MSc program, will my tuition fees be refunded?
According to the program’s internal regulations (Government Gazette 7045/14.12.2023), tuition fees already paid are non-refundable in the event of withdrawal. However, you may submit a request for consideration by the relevant committee.
How many students are admitted annually to the MSc program?
A maximum of fifty (50) students are admitted each year. Eligible applicants include graduates holding a first-cycle degree from recognized institutions in Greece or abroad.
What factors are considered during the student selection process?

What should I know about the interview?
The interview assesses general pedagogical, scientific, and social knowledge, with a focus on the field of Educational Design. Recommended reading: Educational Design Topics series (Volumes 1–14).
The aim is to evaluate candidates’ ability to meet the program’s demands, scientific knowledge, personal skills, and other relevant qualities.
When and how are interviews conducted?
Interviews take place annually during May–June. Candidates are notified of the schedule well in advance using digital communication tools.
What if I cannot attend the interview on the scheduled date?
If you are unable to attend due to serious reasons, contact the MSc secretariat promptly to explore alternative arrangements.
What happens if I miss the interview?
The interview is mandatory for candidates. Failure to attend will result in disqualification from the selection process.
When are the results announced?
The results are posted on the Department’s and MSc program’s websites in June, after approval by the Departmental Assembly.
Can I apply without sufficient foreign language knowledge?
Candidates without a language proficiency certificate will be required to take a written exam on understanding and translating a scientific text in a foreign language.
Is attendance mandatory?
Yes, attendance is compulsory. Students who attend less than 80% of a course’s sessions will fail and must retake the course in a future semester.
I live in another region. Can I still attend the program?
Yes. Courses are organized in modules (usually on weekends) and announced in July for the winter semester. Meetings are conducted online, except for the first semester’s opening session and the international conference during the second semester, which require physical presence in Rhodes.
Is free meal service provided to postgraduate students?
Postgraduate students are entitled to meals at a reduced price at the University’s restaurant.
Do postgraduate students receive free healthcare?
Yes, registered students are entitled to full healthcare coverage, including:
